Fifty songs. Thirty years.

Help Me Record Music That Transforms Humanity

I have close to fifty original songs and I have performed them hundreds of times. Almost none of them have ever been recorded properly, and I am asking my community to help me change that.

I fought professionally in mixed martial arts for years before I found this work. Then I built Conscious Intimacy Games, which now runs live events in fourteen cities across the US, Canada and Mexico with five certified facilitators. The business grew 186% this past year, and I put every bit of that straight back into the company and the team. None of it came out for the music. That is why I am asking.

Watch this first

Why now

I have a performance in weeks and a guitar that does not work.

Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
August 28, 2026

Love Your Neighbor As Yourself

I am performing at Love Your Neighbor As Yourself, a Star-I-Am voice medicine circle, on August 28. This is exactly the kind of room this music was made for, and it is the reason this campaign exists at all.

My guitar does not work properly when it is plugged in. I cannot perform an amplified show with it and I cannot record with it. That is why the guitar is the very first milestone on this campaign, and why the date on it is real.

Hear it before you read another word

I recorded these alone in a room in 2019

I used about $2,000 of gear and close to zero recording experience. There was no engineer, no studio, and no idea what I was doing. They are rough, and they are still the clearest picture of what this music actually is. The poems are here too, in the same voice, without the guitar.

The name

Star-I-Am is not a stage name. It is the source.

Star-I-Am is the archetype I write from. It is the name I have given to the place the music comes from, which is God, the Creator, the Conscious Universe. I am not the author of these songs so much as the one holding the guitar when they arrive.

I Am is the oldest name for consciousness there is. It is the awareness that is already there before any story you tell about yourself, and it is what every one of these songs is pointed at.

The five pointed star is the other half of the name, and it is a masterkey. The same five turns up everywhere you look, and every time it appears it is describing the same structure from a different angle.

The five elements

EarthWaterFireAirEther

Four elements you can touch, and the fifth that holds them together and gives them somewhere to happen.

The five Platonic solids

CubeIcosahedronTetrahedronOctahedronDodecahedron

The only five perfect solids that can exist in three dimensions. Plato matched each one to an element, and the dodecahedron to the cosmos itself.

The five states of matter

SolidLiquidGasPlasmaCondensate

The same pattern again, written this time by physics rather than philosophy.

The five levels of the soul

NefeshRuachNeshamahChayahYechidah

From the breath that animates the body all the way up to the part of you that was never separate from God.

The five dimensions of human consciousness

The full range of what a person is capable of being awake to, from the purely physical through to the purely divine.

The human being

Arms out, legs apart, head crowning the top. The star is the shape you are already standing in. Learn to read that key and it starts unlocking the secrets of the universe, one door at a time.

What this actually is

This is medicine music.

The sound comes from what I grew up on. I was raised on Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam, and you can hear all of it in there.

The words come from somewhere else entirely. My lyrics are inspired by Hebrew Kabbalah, Indigenous Shamanism and Christian Mysticism.

My songs are subconscious reprogramming rituals. They are designed to help you strip away your false identity, your character and your ego, so that you can discover your true, authentic, Higher Self. That is the whole point of them.

That is what I am trying to record properly, and it is what your contribution pays for.

Thirty years in

I have been carrying these songs for a very long time.

30+years playing music
~50original songs written
100sof live performances
Playing guitar on stage as a teenager

I started young, in garage bands and school hallways and community stages, anywhere that would have us. I trained in classical, flamenco, blues, rock and metal, and I have taken from plenty of other forms since then. I play guitar, I sing, and I play percussion.

I have close to fifty songs now. Some of them are instrumental, and some of them are written for three to five musicians playing together. I have performed all of them many times.

What I have never had is the funding and the equipment to record them the way they deserve to be recorded.

A different kind of stage

I have stood in front of thousands before, and I had gloves on.

I fought professionally in mixed martial arts and I had twenty one fights. I know what it is to walk into an arena with thousands of people watching and everything on the line.

I want to do that again with a guitar and a microphone instead. Same nerve, same room, same thousands of people, except this time I am encouraging peace instead of conflict.

21Professional fights
The nerve it takes to walk into an arena is the same nerve it takes to walk on stage with a guitar. I already know I have it.

Why this matters to me

The dream underneath the dream

Recording the songs is the near goal. This is what the songs are actually for.

01

Inspire humanity

Music reaches people that a workshop never will. It gets past the defences and goes straight in.

02

Fund recovery

I want this music to raise money that helps people in recovery. I know what that road costs because I have walked it.

03

Heal the relationship with God

Almost everyone I meet is carrying a broken relationship with God and a quieter one with the people closest to them. Repairing that is the work I do in rooms. A song reaches further than a room ever will.

Facilitation is what I am best at. With the right equipment, real recordings and proper branding, I can take this to world stages and carry the message a great deal further than I can carry it now.

The Star-I-Am app on two phones

Star-I-Am Voice Medicine Circles

There is already an app, and it is free.

The Star-I-Am app lives at www.star-i-am.com. Anyone can open it at no cost and listen to my music and my poetry.

It is also a working tool. We use it inside the Star-I-Am Voice Medicine Circles so that people can follow along and sing with the songs instead of just listening to them. Getting a room of strangers singing together is one of the fastest ways I know to drop people out of their heads and into their bodies.

Better recordings make that circle better. Every song this campaign funds goes into the app for everyone, free.

Funding milestones

What your contributions unlock

Every milestone is a real, specific thing this campaign makes possible. Each one builds on the one before it, and the first one has a deadline.

Where your money goes

An honest breakdown

Nothing here is a salary. Every dollar buys a specific piece of equipment or a specific block of studio time.

The portable studio

Guitar$2,000
Recording laptop$2,000
Microphone, interface, software, and portable studio equipment$1,500

Professional recording, at approximately

One song$1,000
Two songs$2,000
Four songs$4,000
Eight songs$8,000

These are approximate allocations rather than rigid guarantees. Recording expenses may shift between studio time, engineering, production, mixing, mastering, musicians, and other costs depending on what each song requires.

Sponsorship

Backing this at a larger level

If you run a business, make art, or offer a service and you want to put real money behind this, get in touch directly and we will build something that works for both of us.

The people around this work care about recovery, healing, honest relationship and spiritual practice. They travel to sit in rooms together and they pay to do it. If that is who you serve, tell me what you want promoted and who you want it in front of, and I will tell you honestly what I can deliver.

The guitar is needed by August 28

Fifty songs are waiting on this.

They have been played in living rooms, around fires, in circles and on stages for thirty years. Not one of them has ever been recorded the way it deserves to be. That changes the day this gets funded, and not a day before.

Every song this campaign records goes into the app free, for anyone, permanently. You are not buying me a guitar. You are putting music into the world that would not otherwise exist.
