This Room Goes As Deep As You Do
Most people who come have done work like this before. Some have never done anything like it. Both belong here, and neither one sets the ceiling for the other. Watch the walkthrough below, then keep reading for honest answers to the questions you have not asked out loud.
The honest version
A Conscious Intimacy Games event is a facilitated evening where a room full of people stops performing and starts actually connecting.
You sit across from another person and answer a real question. You practice listening without fixing, advising, or one upping. You are offered simple forms of connection like sustained eye contact, a hand on a shoulder, or a long hug. Every one of those is offered, never assigned, and every one of them is easy to decline.
A trained facilitator leads the entire time. You are never handed an instruction and left to figure it out on your own.
How the evening flows
No surprises. Here is the shape of it from the moment you walk through the door.
1. You arrive
Someone greets you at the door and you get a name tag. There is music and a few minutes to settle before anything begins. Come alone or bring a friend. Feeling awkward walking in is so normal that we joke about it.
2. We open the evening
The facilitator welcomes everyone, lays out the agreements for the night, and explains how to decline anything you do not want to do. Nothing starts until the whole room knows how to say no.
3. We play the games
Guided rounds, usually with a new partner each time. Some rounds are talk based. Some involve simple, clothed, optional touch. Each one is explained in full before it starts so you know exactly what you are agreeing to.
4. We close together
We come back together as a group, land the experience, and let people share what moved them. Then the formal part ends and most people stay to talk. That hallway conversation is where friendships tend to start.
What this is not
If you saw the words intimacy and games together and got a little nervous, that is a fair reaction. Let us clear it up.
- Not a sex party. Clothes stay on. There is no nudity and no sexual contact at a Conscious Intimacy Games event.
- Not a singles mixer. Couples, singles, friends, and people in every relationship structure show up. Nobody is here to be picked.
- Not therapy or treatment. This is a practice space for connection skills, not a clinical setting.
- Not a religion, a cult, or a sales pitch. No belief system is required to walk in. Nobody is going to corner you afterward.
- Not a performance. You will not be pulled to the front, called out, or made an example of in front of the room.
- Not all or nothing. You can sit out any round and stay right where you are.
Nothing happens to you here
Everything happens with you, or it does not happen at all. This is the part we take most seriously.
Everything is an invitation
Each exercise is offered to you, not assigned to you. You hear exactly what it involves before you decide anything.
"No" is encouraged
Declining is not a disruption here, it is part of the practice. You can pass on any round without giving a reason, and nobody will ask you for one or treat you differently afterward. A no in this room costs you nothing.
You can change your mind
Mid round, mid sentence, mid hug. Pause it, step out, get water, come back when you are ready. No explanation owed to anyone.
Someone is holding the room
Your facilitator is certified through the Conscious Intimacy Games training program and is tracking the room all night. If something feels off, tell them.
Who is actually in the room
Most of the people who walk in have done work like this before in some form. Breathwork, authentic relating, circling, men's and women's groups, ecstatic dance, coaching trainings, years of therapy. People who have been building this muscle for a while and want a room where they can actually use it.
People who have never done anything like this are welcome too, and the format is built so that being new is not a disadvantage. Every round is taught in the moment, right before you do it.
Ages range widely and so does everything else about the people there. Conscious Intimacy Games has been filling rooms since 2022 across 14 cities and 4 countries. Bringing Humanity Together One Connection at a Time.
If you have done work like this before
Most of the room has. Here is what tends to be different about a Conscious Intimacy Games evening.
The container is tight
Facilitators are certified, the agreements get spoken out loud rather than assumed, and the rotation is run on purpose. You are not depending on the room to regulate itself.
You set the depth
Nothing is forced and nothing is capped. You will not be asked to go further than you chose, and you will not be held to a beginner ceiling either. The depth of your evening is genuinely yours to set.
You are not holding the room
That is the facilitator's job, not yours. If you are used to being the most regulated person in every group you walk into, this is a room where you get to put that down and actually participate.
You can take it with you
These are repeatable games and practices, not a one night experience. People use them with a partner, bring them into their own groups, and some go on to get certified to run rooms themselves.
Before you come
Four small things that make the night better for you and for everyone else.
What to wear
Comfortable clothes you can sit on the floor in and move around in. There is no dress code and no reason to dress up. Wear what you would actually want to be in for a couple of hours.
What to bring
Yourself, a water bottle, and a cushion. We sit on the floor, so bring something to sit on and your body will thank you. There is nothing to read, prepare, or practice in advance.
Arrive on time
The opening is where the agreements get set, so we start on time and keep the container intact. Give yourself a buffer for parking and finding the door.
Come present
Show up clear headed and rested if you can. Phones go away once we begin, which most people say ends up being their favorite part.
The questions everyone has
Including the ones people are usually too polite to ask out loud. Tap any question to open it.
Do I have to touch anyone?
Can I come by myself?
I am shy. Will I get singled out?
Is any of this sexual?
What if I cannot sit on the floor?
I am in a relationship. Is this okay to attend?
What if I get emotional?
What if I run into someone I know?
What if I hate it and want to leave?
Do I need experience with this kind of work?
Who is actually running this?
Is any of it photographed or recorded?
Come see for yourself
Every person you will meet in that room was once exactly where you are right now. Reading a page like this one, wondering whether it was for them.
